Parking:

There is a metered parking lot just outside the Museum's doors, with space for about 12 cars. Meters take only quarters. As this lot is exclusively for the use of Museum visitors, visitors parking in this lot must register at the Museum desk and sign out when they leave, otherwise Cornell's transportation office may issue a ticket. And they will!

During Museum opening receptions and major events, a shuttle bus runs from Cornell's large "A" lot, off Pleasant Grove road.

Visitor permits and campus information is available at the Cornell Information kiosks located near main campus entrances. Parking on campus is permit restricted. Please observe all posted signs carefully when parking.

For more information about parking at Cornell, please visit the Commuter and Parking Services website.

TCAT, Inc (Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc.) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public transportation for Tompkins County and portions of Tioga County. Route 10 goes up University Avenue and stops at Sibley Hall, just past the Museum.

Restaurants:

The Museum's Two Naked Guys Café, named for the sculpture "Conflict" by William Zorach, that has long stood in our lobby, is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It has sandwiches, pastries, coffee, teas, soups, and other light refreshments.

During the academic year, there are eating places near the Museum open for lunch and throughout the day. The Green Dragon Café in Sibley Hall, the Temple of Zeus (excellent soups and sandwiches) in Goldwin Smith Hall, and a cafeteria and snack bar in Williard Straight Hall are among those eating places nearby. Downtown Ithaca is about a five- minute drive down the hill from the Museum, with abundant eating places; the Collegetown neighborhood, just off the campus also has restaurants, newstands, and other shops.

The campus hotel, the Statler, is about a ten-minute walk from the Museum. It contains a restaurant and a cafeteria.

The campus bookstore is also a short walk from the Museum; it also has a small grocery store, campus souvenirs, Cornell T-shirts and sweatshirts, a photo store, and other items.

More information about hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, shopping, and other Ithaca-area attractions is available at IthacaNet. Also check out Ithacaevents.com for a listing of activities, performances, exhibitions in the region.
